Re: Self-reflection/refraction/reflexion

These paintings struggle, with grace, to combine the sometime conflicting worlds of the individual’s exterior and interior. The Form vs. The Formless. The Conscious vs. The Unconscious. The Seen vs. The Unseen. The Identity vs. The Spirit.  It’s a battle with the self, in varying degrees of pretty brutality.

The two worlds, Inside vs. Out must combine/collide somehow.

While inside a Revolution.
Violation!
Deletion!
Recreation!
Manipulation!
Rejection!
Exaggeration!
A Dream!
Flex!
Recoil!
Strengthen.
Straighten.
The only visible proof (spoof? Poof!) is a mirrored reflection.

Caution! Honesty is dangerous. A façade protects and pretends,
keeping us civil and safe and nearly not lying.
